"Chablis"
This ewe was a decade ahead of her time.  In 1989, Chablis measured over 36 inches tall and was very complete.  We felt that she was the best ewe we had ever raised up to that point and hoped she would have won Champion ewe at Louisville.  Despite being the most elevated, longest, best walking and most muscled ewe in the class she only stood second.  Despite disappointment in the ring she went on to produce 4 champion ewes and 2 champion rams.  Her impact was great and her legacy will never die.
"Cinnamon"
Cinnamon was the two time National Champion Oxford Ewe in 1993 and 1994 and went on to win Supreme Champion Ewe award in 1994.  She was a Chablis Daughter and she produced an excellent set of ewes that we put back into our flock. Cinnamon was our all time favorite ewe, not because she was the best, because she was our most treasured.

"Where Stud Rams Are Born"
It is no secret that the ewes at Double "O" Acres are pretty special.  Over the past 37 years we have had nearly 20 National Grand Champion Ewes, roughly 10 Reserve Grand Champion Ewes,  countless National Sale Champions, endless class winners, and numerous champions at state and county fairs.  It is easy to see why our ewe flock is highly productive and keeps reproducing champions.  We pride ourselves on line-breeding and having common genetics throughout the flock. When you are and established breeding program with predictable genetics, repeatability is inevitable. Based on the facts, it would seem that when you are making your next brood ewe, yearling ewe, and ewe lamb purchases... Double  "O" Acres should be the first place you look.
Listed below are several but not all the Champion ewes we have produced.  They are just pictures that I had on hand and didn't have to do a lot of digging for.
"Surprise"

1999 National Grand Champion Ewe

This ewe had tremendous size and capacity.  She was long handling and square through her lengthy hip.  She was a standout in the yearling class and went on to produce well as a brood ewe.  She was the mother of "High Profile."
"Exquisite"

2000 National Grand Champion Ewe

This ewe was absolutely huge.  She was the culmination of size and style.  She was sired by "Camelot" and was a very productive breeding ewe.  We have retained several of her daughters.
"Cleopatra"

2002 National Grand Champion Ewe

Cleo was dammed by "Gweneviere," the 1996 National Grand Champion Ewe and sired by "The Rock."  This ewe has really produced for us.  Gweneviere also dammed the 2005 National Sale Champion Ewe that sold to Frank Silva.
"Knock Out"
39 x 38

2005 National Grand Champion Ewe

This "Thoroughbred" daughter grew out to be one huge ewe.  The judge commented that she was in a class of her own.  I'm not one to disagree with compliments.  She is a standout for sure.
"Cinnamon's Image"
39 x 41

2006 National Grand Champion Ewe

This ewe was truly magnificent.  She was dammed by a Cinnamon daughter and was built like a more extended version of Cinnamon.  She herself dammed "Luck of the Draw."
"Double Take"
39.5 x 39.5

2007 National Grand Champion Ewe

It is easy to see why this ewe got so much attention.  She is correct  and smooth from every angle."Double Take" is sired by "Parradigm." She did very well her first year lambing.  She had a 26 lb single ewe lamb that is designed just like her.
